The terms for using oomny apps and this website. They are short on purpose: your data is yours, Apple handles the sale, and your consumer rights always stand.

1 The short version
You buy our apps through Apple’s App Store. Most are a one-time purchase; some are an optional subscription. Apple handles the payment, the taxes and the refunds. What you create in an app is yours and stays on your device. Your mandatory rights as a consumer always apply. The rest of this page is the same promise in fuller sentences.

3 Your licence to the app
When you get an oomny app, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Usage Rules. The app, its name, design and code remain ours; please don’t copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, except where the law expressly allows.
4 Our apps are sold by Apple
Our iOS apps are distributed and sold through Apple’s App Store under Apple’s standard licensed-application terms, which apply to your use of the app alongside these terms. Apple is the merchant of record: Apple handles the purchase, payment, taxes and refunds. To request a refund, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something doesn’t work and Apple says no, write to us anyway — we’d rather fix the problem.
One-time purchase (most apps). Most oomny apps are a single one-time purchase — a lifetime unlock, not a trial and not a recurring charge. You pay once and keep it. Family Sharing is enabled, so household members share your unlock at no extra cost.
5 Subscriptions (some apps)
This section applies only where an app is offered as a subscription. The app’s App Store page and its in-app purchase screen tell you whether it is, and show the current price before you buy.
- Auto-renewing. A subscription renews automatically for the same period (for example monthly or yearly) at the price shown, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase, and again at each renewal.
- Managing & cancelling. You manage, switch or cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Free use without a subscription. Where an app offers a free tier, it stays free for as long as you like — a subscription only unlocks the extras the app describes, and is never a timed trial of the base experience.
6 Your data is yours
What you create in an oomny app is kept on your device, and — for an app that syncs — in your own iCloud. We never copy, share or upload it to a server of ours, and there is no oomny account. How each app handles your data, including whether it syncs, is set out in our privacy policy and on the app’s App Store privacy label.
Where an app lets you collaborate with another person, or record information about someone else, you are responsible for having any permission you need, and for the accuracy of what you produce in the app.
7 Generated content (some apps)
Some apps generate text or structure using on-device intelligence. That output is produced on your device, and may be imperfect or incomplete — please check anything that matters before relying on it. It is a helpful starting point, not professional, legal, financial or medical advice.
8 Using this website
You may use this site for your own information. Please don’t misuse it — no attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to it or to anyone’s data. The content, design, names and logos on this site are ours or our licensors’ and are protected by intellectual-property law; you may not reuse them without permission.
9 Conformity and what we can’t promise
We provide our apps and this website with reasonable skill and care, and keep each app in conformity with what we describe — including the updates, security updates among them, needed for it to keep working as described for a reasonable time. This is in addition to your statutory rights for digital content under EU and Dutch law.
That said, no software is perfect. The apps and this website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent the law allows, not with guarantees of uninterrupted perfection. Nothing here excludes or limits any warranty or right that may not lawfully be excluded or limited, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
10 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Oomny B.V. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our apps or this website, and our total liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. This does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including mandatory Dutch and EU consumer-protection rules.
11 Apple
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support; we are.
12 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes fall to the competent Dutch courts. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence always continue to apply, and nothing here removes that protection.
13 Changes
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top.
